About

Katie Douthit began her career in Albuquerque in 1982. Since then, she has provided professional hair and makeup artistry in California and New Mexico. Katie is certified in all aspects of professional makeup including film, television, photography, high fashion and special effects.

Over the years, she’s worked on countless film and television productions, including makeup and hair for Academy and Emmy award winning actors. Also many television commercials and print work such as " People Magazine", "Interview Magazine", "Trend Magazine" and many others in New Mexico and California. Katie also wrote and implemented the curriculum for the first New Mexico film training program in 2002. She continues to work with the Film Training Program through various community colleges and for the film union IATSE Local 480. For the past few years, she has mentored young people in makeup and hair for film and television through the Monte del Sol charter school.

Katie also owns Wild Hare Extension Studio in Santa Fe New Mexico.
